Driver module

How does the driver module work?

The driver module is a modern and efficient solution that supports the organisation of airport transfers. Thanks to its functionality, drivers have access to detailed information about the Customer awaiting pick-up, enabling precise planning of service delivery. In addition, parking owners gain full control over the transfer process and the efficiency of their staff, which significantly improves the quality of service and management.

How do you enable the driver module and what does it involve?

Step 1 – Enable the feature at the parking

1. Go to the "Settings" tab, then select the "Parkings" section.
2. Select the parking for which you want to set up the driver module.
3. On the right-hand side, under additional settings, enable the "Drivers – returns" option. If the feature should also apply to transfers towards the airport, additionally enable "Drivers – arrivals".
4. Save the changes.

Step 2 – Create a driver profile
1. Go to the "Settings" tab, then select the "Drivers" section.
2. In the upper right corner of the screen, click the option that allows you to create a new driver profile.
3. Fill in the required driver details and save the profile.
4. On the right-hand side, assign the driver to the appropriate parking, then save the changes again.

The system will automatically generate a QR code that the driver will use to log in. The driver should scan this code using the tablet or phone they use while working in the vehicle. This makes the login process quick and intuitive, facilitating the day-to-day handling of transfers.

By default, a scanned code is active for 24 hours; after that time the session expires and the code must be scanned again.

If a longer authorisation period is needed, click the three dots on the right side of the driver profile and select the "Auth: QR (long live)" option, then scan the displayed code. Such a session remains active for 6 months, unless it is manually deleted.

How to use the module in practice?

When does a customer appear in the driver's app?

The customer is shown to the driver in the app at two different points in the process, depending on the stage of the transfer:

When the customer arrives at the parking – triggered by the staff clicking the "Accept Vehicle" button

While the vehicle is parked, both buttons remain unchanged. However, when the Customer's return date and time is approaching, we can use the driver module by selecting the green button – send for pick-up.

The status will change to "waiting"

At this point, once logged in, the driver will see the Customer on the list of those awaiting pick-up:

After selecting a specific booking, the driver is immediately redirected to a feature that enables direct contact with the Customer. This solution ensures quick and efficient communication, facilitating coordination and reducing the time needed to arrange pick-up details.

After picking up the Customer, the driver presses the "Pick up" button, which automatically updates the booking status in the system:

While the driver is picking up the Customer, the operator can track them on the map. To do this, go to the driver tab on the left-hand side.

After entering the relevant tab, the operator can track the driver's current location in real time on the map:

Once the transfer is complete, we change the status in the booking to "release vehicle". The booking has been fully completed!

In summary, the driver module is a modern tool that significantly streamlines the work of drivers and parking operators, providing convenience, precision and efficiency in managing transfers and monitoring activities.
